On the completion of this programme, graduates will be able to build a complete web application following the entire web development process from end to end, using a content management system.

NZ DIPLOMA IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT (L6)

The aim of this programme is to provide students with the opportunity to achieve a qualification in software development which meets industry needs for appropriately qualified information technology (IT) employees.  Career outcomes include coding, scripting, QA-testing, and design.

This programme has a practical, hands-on focus which will provide you with the transferable skills and knowledge to be employed in a range of entry level support roles in an organisation, that may include business support and retail roles and some roles in the IT profession under broad guidance. Successful completion of this qualification also provides automatic entry to Whitecliffe’s ICT programmes at Level 5 and new Bachelor of Applied Information Technology (Level 7).*

The programme consists of four compulsory courses: IT Fundamentals; and Information Management followed by Web Design; and Software Development; delivered across four sites (Auckland, Manukau, Wellington, and Christchurch) and open to domestic students, and residents with a current permanent residence visa and international students 18 years of age with an IELTS 5.5 score and above. This certificate is a 60 credit programme.
